Expanding your business can be very expensive.

Even if you are only expanding to another city, you will need to find and rent offices. You will also need to find, interview and employ staff. With staff come all the associated costs of providing facilities for them, from restrooms to canteens. You will need to lease vehicles for your staff and cope with absences for illness and holidays.

Expanding to another country is ten times more expensive because you have to employ local agents to perform all the tasks above. You will need to open foreign bank accounts, pay local taxes and employ foreign accountants. Check out http://www.international-virtual-office.info

Nowadays there is an alternative to having an office in every major country, costing 100K a year as a minimum. You can have a virtual office costing 1K a year in each country.

A virtual office package can include phone answering, signing for mail, a prestigious local postal address (with mail forwarding), cell phone forwarding, fax-to-email services and more.

The only way to have a presence in e.g. UK or Canada used to be to open expensive office premises in London, Ottawa or another major city. The premises required workers who needed paying. Rent, fuel and local taxes all added to the exorbitant cost of maintaining a presence in a country.

Now a virtual office gives you all the advantages of having a local presence, at only a tiny fraction of the cost.

You can also find a Virtual Assistant (VA) who is trained to respond to phone calls as though employed in your local office. This person can maintain your diary, answer emails and post, as though you were answering it yourself. Another massive savings is on employing a personal assistant in every country. Your VA answers the phone in a local accent, and gives you a really credible local presence that will help you increase your local sales.

Virtual Offices and Virtual Assistants make it possible for any business to maintain a presence in every single country or state they market to.

Cooking games for girls used to be cliche but now with the rise of cooking video games and handy mobile games for cooking that act as self guided cooking classes they are rising in popularity. When you say cooking games for girls and for boys its not just the plastic Fisher Price games that bring the world of make believe to life. Nintendo DS is a popular platform for cooking video games for kids and also adults as it walks you through cooking different types of meals. This article will walk you through the different types of games for girls, boys and adults. The article will follow up with the benefits of using the different games in your childs play time as well as benefits of adults using the cooking video games. Its fun for the whole family.

The first niche of cooking games is the classic make believe games. Generally these games are stereotype as cooking games for girls but as the culture grows games involving cooking should be included in any genders toy collection. Cooking games made by Fisher Price or Smart Gear were top on the list years back when you searched online. Now you have to scroll a few pages to find quality cooking games for girls and boys made from high quality plastics meant to last a childhood or two. The benefits of these types games are the same as you get from sending your child to soccer or youth football. They allow for the creative part of the brain to develop and help with social skills. A few of the children using cooking games will turn out to be the next Chef Ramsey. So be sure that you include cooking games for girls and boys of the make believe variety in your home.

As of recent the top searches for just “cooking games” returns Cooking Mama, Cooking Dash, even Cooking Mama 2 and Cooking Mama 3. What are these titles you ask? Video Games of course. The days of playing outside or playing house and make believe are dwindling sadly taken over by the hand-held graphical games. Nintendo seems to have cornered the market on games about cooking and even pulls in the adult crown with “Personal Trainer: Cooking”. This is not all bad although make believe toys mentioned above such as “Smart Gear Cooking Center” provide imagination through play the video game version can bring the reality of flour plus water and sugar equals dough without destroying your kitchen.

Better yet adults can learn how to cook in the comfort of their home while using their kids Nintendo DS. Personal Trainer: Cooking will have you delivering mouth watering food to your families table in no time. So although cooking games for girls and boys deliver hours of stimulating play for them; these video games can be just as entertaining for adults. Girls cooking games usually come in pink, but recently you will see blue as a popular color for these toys noting the shift in gender role association.

If your child shows interest in these games encourage them to take cooking classes for children. Your local community center often will have cooking classes that you can take with your children. If not be sure to include them in baking activities you partake in. Even if you are not a particularly great cook your children will appreciate the time you give them. Be prepared and don’t get mad there will be a mess made. Make the cleanup just as fun as the cooking. It is important to raise your children with an appreciation for cooking and baking especially as families lose the sit down family dinner and restaurants are more often the default over home cooking.

The term Bankruptcy is derived from the Italian word banca rotta, meaning broken bench. It is a federal court process designed to help consumers and businesses eliminate their debts or repay them under the protection of the bankruptcy court. However, there are specialized units for bankruptcy in each federal district court. Under the Federal Bankruptcy Act, these district courts take care of the bankruptcy filings and other functional procedures.

Factors Influencing Bankruptcy:
The following factors seem to influence bankruptcy, in general. But a combination of all these factors is however found to have greater impact on Bankruptcy.

1. Rising Unemployment: Unemployment or sudden loss of job is a key factor influencing bankruptcy. In order to maintain an optimum standard of living, unemployed people are more prone to taking debt without the ability to pay back. Thus accumulated debt level rapidly increases resulting into Bankruptcy.

2. Broken Marriage: Rising divorce rates are seen to have influenced the number of bankruptcy filings. This is because in most cases one or both the parties suffer financially due to legal separation. Divorce rates are almost 50% now, thus, if divorce is being considered, take note of this fact!

3. Credit Card Usage: The more the number of cards, the more will be the amount of debt. With the increase in the number of accounts used by each adult, the rate of filing bankruptcy also increases. Research shows that the most number of people who are in debt are young adults between the age range of 25 to 30. This is the age of ‘Credit Card Spending’, which is spending more than their income. Before 30 years old, they are already in debt.

4. Debt Income Ratio: Debt :. With the rise in debt-income ratio, rate of filing bankruptcy also increases.

Your Outstanding Debts
A bankruptcy may not necessarily dissolve all of your debts. Some types of debts may be exempt from bankruptcy like alimony, maintenance, child support, educational loans, taxes, including income, property, withholding, and employment taxes, fines, penalties, or forfeitures payable to the government, some punitive damages, and debts based on fraud.

How to Overcome Bankruptcy?
After knowing the main factors influencing bankruptcy, you must try your very best in avoiding these mine traps. You must, at all cost, avoid bankruptcy as it does more damage to you than you can imagine! One main problem most people encounter after declaring bankruptcy is difficulty in getting new employment. Regardless of what the law says about discrimination against personal bankruptcy, but in real life, these people do face many challenges and discriminations.

If you have financial difficulties now, take the next step in solve them but getting a debt consultant. Debt consultants are experts in debt reductions and can certainly help you regain a stable financial footing.

One of my favorite times of year is Restaurant Week. If you’re planning to participate or just need some tips about how to dine out with your toddler, here are some tips that should make the process go much smoother. Of course, if you are even reading this, I know that circumstances did not allow you to get a babysitter.

Have a Plan

Going to a nice restaurant (especially for dinner) with a toddler will work best when there is a plan in place. Trust me on this one. My family’s frequent travel lifestyle has allowed us to dine in some of the finest restaurants around the world. But no matter if we are dining in London, Bali, New York or Maui one thing remains the same, we always have a plan in place when dining with the little one. One way to do that is to peruse, the restaurant’s menu online ahead of time so that you can and get an idea of what you would like to order. This will save everyone time and help things run more smoothly.

Dine Early

It is not a good idea to schedule dinner when your little person is sleepy or hungry. Yes you read right. Give your toddler a small snack right before you get to the restaurant so that he or she is not famished waiting for your order to get to the table.

Request a Corner Table

Ask the restaurant host/hostess about getting a seat in a corner or away from most restaurant patrons if possible. Remember, although you were not able to secure a babysitter for your night out, you should try to be courteous to other restaurant patrons that are enjoying their night out. Your time will come.

Set the Rules

Be clear with your toddler about what the rules are early on. Set boundaries and enforce them. For example, keeping your little tike in the booster seat or high chair through-out the course of the dinner is a good rule to enforce. Not only will it keep small fingers out of other people’s food but, it really is not safe for an un-guided toddler to be walking around a restaurant anyway. Candle lit dinners, knives, hot plates and bustling servers can make the restaurant an unsafe place for a toddler to be.

Kids First

Even if the server attempts to take your order first before that of your little one, politely request that you need to order the food of your toddler first. Also indicate that you would like your child’s meal to be served as soon as it is ready. More polished servers will do this automatically; novices however, may need a little reminder. Remember, although many steakhouses and fine dining restaurants may not have kid’s menus, the chef is willing and able to prepare items like chicken fingers, pasta with sauce and other items upon request. You just need to ask.

Come prepared

I always go to even the finest restaurants equipped with three things: a bib, a sippy cup, and a favorite book or quiet toy (such as a plush animal or book). In addition, do not forget to pack essentials like diapers, wipes, pull-ups etc if you don’t want any accidents.

Cut it Short

I hate to say it, but this is probably not the time to order the chef’s “special tasting or prix fixe menu”. A two course maximum is essential unless you are dining at a very kid friendly restaurant or your toddler is more patient than usual.

Be Ready to Call it Quits

At the end of it all, you should be ready to signal for the check and a to-go container at a moment’s notice. As a parent, you will know when your toddler has endured enough of a “good thing”. When that time comes, appreciate it for what it was and head out the door…food in hand of course.

Although I hope that you will not need these tips ( due to having a reliable sitter and back-up sitter on speed dial), following these pointers will make you a pro at dining out with your toddler in no time.

In early 2003, not long after the Anaheim Angels had captured the AFL championship, their new owner, Mr. Moreno, decided to change their name. Pointing to marketing considerations, he wanted to change the name to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He did not push for a change in the team logo.

That logo had long been a red A. A blue halo was embroidered over the top of that A. Moreno did not make any move to change that logo. Yet some of the residents of Anaheim designed a special type of logo. Their logo was designed to be used as a form of protest.

In order to understand the protests of the Anaheim residents, one must learn something about the Angels. That team had first played in Los Angeles, and had once before been called the Los Angles Angels. In the 1960s the team moved to Anaheim, CA, and it then changed its name to the California Angels. The Disney Company bought the team from Gene Autry in 1997, and it named the team the Anaheim Angels.

So for close to six years the City of Anaheim had benefited from the Angels new name. The City of Anaheim voiced strong objections to the proposed name change in 2003. Some of the residents of Anaheim demonstrated obvious support for their government. They designed a special logo that poked fun at the proposed name change.

Their logo contained an L and an A. The A was hooked onto the horizontal bar of the L. Their A had a halo, but it seemed to have broken while dangling from that L. The residents of Anaheim saw a broken team in the team with the words Los Angeles in its name.

Objects bearing this logo of protest soon began to appear at the Angel games. Some game attendees purchased those items. Spurred by the success of those sales, the creator of the protest logo even started his own website. His protest logo could be found on that website.

The creator of that protest logo obviously hoped to sway the thinking of certain legal experts. The City of Anaheim was suing for restoration of a team name that contained the Citys name. Unfortunately, the courts did not decide in favor of the local protestors. They gave a green light to the name change.

No ruling by the courts would have changed the logo for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The team had agreed to stay with the angelic A.

Decorating a childs room can be quite a stressful time and trying to keep to a budget can also be quite hard. You may also be slightly over whelmed by the massive choice of childrens furniture available online and from furniture stores.

The main tip to remember is to keep things simple. Some childrens furniture sets, childrens wardrobes, childrens beds can cost from a few hundred pounds to a few thousand pounds for a childrens room set. The key thing to remember is to shop around and make sure you find a great deal and stick to a budget.

A childrens wardrobe is probably the most versatile piece of furniture you can buy. If you can find a decent sized childrens wardrobe at a good price they will last a long time, and will provide a good storage space as your child grows. The only real decision you would have to make is whether a single or double childrens wardrobe is best for your childs room. Obviously if you do not have the room space to have a double childrens wardrobe a single wardrobe is perfect. A single wardrobe usually consists of either a hanging rail, a top shelf and a storage draw at the bottom of the wardrobe. Or can be up to three shelves all the way up the height of the wardrobe, with a single draw at the bottom.

Trying to find a good childs bed is probably the hardest piece of furniture to get right. If you have a young child a cot bed is probably your best bet. A lot of childrens cot beds can be easily converted into a junior bed which when your child reaches that certain age, not only is this a good money saver but when you think about you are getting two beds for the price of one.

There are also many different types of beds available for slightly older children. There are animated beds such as car shaped beds brightly decorated to appeal to toddlers. Bunk beds are a great idea for children sharing a bedroom and it also saves tremendously on space. Another great feature of a childrens bunk bed is you choose a single bunk bed they come with a desk underneath which not only saves of space but some come with extra storage as well helping to keep you childs room tidy.

Another piece of childrens furniture to consider is a desk. As your child gets older whether they like it or not they will get home work so having a desk or a childrens table and chair set is a great idea for a childs bedroom. Enabling them to go somewhere quite to colour, play or do homework.

For younger children and one of the main pieces of childrens furniture in a room sets is a chest of draws with a baby changing facility located at the top, which is a removable top part of the chest of draws doubling up as a baby changer.

There are many different online stores that supply childrens bedroom furniture at some great prices. It can take time to plan and stick to a budget to find the best prices for that perfect piece of childrens furniture for your kids room.

We hope you have found this childrens furniture article useful. There are many different styles of childrens wardobes available, so we hope this has helped you to make a decision.

Online directories are typically places you can list your business and website for others to see. These directories are broken into different categories for easier navigation. If someone is looking for a stereo site for example, they can simply go to the electronic section and see a list of every site that deals with stereos listed. After choosing which site to proceed to, the viewer then simply clicks on the link provided and is lead right to that particular site. Online directories offer areas for any type of business you could imagine. They are a place where people can quickly come to get names of businesses and websites. Thousands of web users utilize online directories each day, making them a popular option for website operators and business owners. If you are considering placing your site on an online directory, consider these three reasons why online directories could work for you.

Exposure

Website success has many elements involved. One of the most important elements however is exposure. If your website never gets any type of exposure, then it is unlikely that it will ever become successful. For people to visit your website, they must be informed that it exists. This is an easy task for a large corporation who can advertise on television or large billboards. It can be extremely difficult for the smaller business however. Online directories do however offer great exposure for your website and business. They allow you to post your information, such as your business name and website link, in places where people can actually look for you. Instead of you looking for people to invite to your site, they are basically searching you out. Just by placing your information in an online directory, your website traffic will increase dramatically. When you are putting your name and website out there, people are certainly more likely to find you.

Online directories usually offer different levels of exposure as well. You can usually choose between different levels of advertising. For example, one choice might be to simply add your name and website link to the main directory. Another choice however might be to add your name and website link to the main page of the appropriate area of the directory or to add bold text to your ad. These options are all beneficial and can help you get even more exposure.

Inexpensive

One reason online directories might be the perfect solution for you is that they are relatively inexpensive. If you are a small business owner, chances are there is not a lot of room in your budget for advertising. Advertising however is one of the key elements to the success of a business. Many online directories will offer a basic listing for free. This is a great opportunity to allow businesses with no advertising budget to advertise. These listings are usually very simple and contain no frills, but they are useful indeed. You can always get your information added to several online directories for free and cover more ground than you thought possible. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to advertise online, online directories are a great option.

Professionalism

If you want your business and website to look as professional as possible, online directories can help. By simply placing your information in an online directory, you can look very professional in the eyes on consumers. Basically, when a consumer looks through an online directory, they consider every listing to be one of a professional business. Although this is not always the case, it certainly does not harm valid professional businesses to any degree. If you take the time to list your information, you are taking another step toward a higher level of professionalism. Therefore, online directories can help you develop or maintain the professionalism you seek.

Choosing to post your information in an online directory should not be a difficult decision. As you can see, there are many reasons why online directories could work for you. No matter if you are looking for more exposure, an inexpensive option, or for a higher level of professionalism, online directories can help you achieve your goals. Just be sure to do a little research and find online directories that will offer you what you need. The more you can post within, the more traffic your website is likely to have. So, go ahead and post in as many as possible!

2006 Formula One drivers will experience new rules for the 2006 season opening race in Bahrain next weekend.

The F1 season will start on Sunday with the Grand Prix in Bahrain which will have different rules compared to previous competitions. The Fdration Internationale de l Automobile (FIA) which is the governing body for motor racing events, has changed the format of the qualifying round. This time a three period knockout system will replace the single-lap system that was used last year.

The last six cars from the two fifteen minute races will be eliminated. The car starting in pole position will be known at the end of the 3rd leg, which is a twenty minute battle against time and opponents.

For the first two qualifying periods, the session will end when the checkered flag comes out, meaning if a driver is on a flying lap and the session ends, his time will not count when he crosses the finish line. That restriction will not apply for the final session.

Regarding fuel limits, the three liter ten-cylinder V motors will be replaced by the 2.4 liter eight-cylinder V motors for safety reasons except in the cast of Scuderia Toro Rosso, who have been allowed to use rev-limited V10 engines under a previous agreement signed by the Minardi team.

FIA estimates that due to this modification, cars will lose 200 horse power and the time for a lap will drop with 3-5 seconds. Unlike the first two qualifying sessions, teams in the final phase will have to decide on their fuel strategy for the race – whatever amount of fuel teams elect to start the final session with is the amount of fuel they will have to start the race.

The FIA has also mandated that a driver must set a lap within 110-percent of his previous fast lap or he will have that time eliminated. This is to guard against anyone “sandbagging” or attempting a fuel-economy run to somehow squeeze a liter or two more of fuel into the tank.

This year there will be eleven teams competing in the F1 Grand Prix instead of the usual ten. FIA representatives affirmed that the new regulations were created to diminish costs and increase safety. The qualifications are scheduled for Saturday March 11th, at 2 p.m. local time.

If you read up on trends in business or home business, then you’ve probably seen quite a few articles recently on the pet industry. To put it briefly, more and more people are owning more and more pets. The figures are amazing, both in terms of numbers of pets owned and amounts spent on pets.

According to the APPMA (the American Pet Products Manufacturer’s Association), pet spending has more than doubled from $17 billion in 1994 to about $38.4 billion in 2006. And spending is not just on basics like food or routine veterinary care.

APPMAs National Pet Owners Survey shows 27% of dog owners and 13% of cat owners buy their pets birthday presents, and 55% of dog owners and 37% of cat owners buy their pet holiday presents. High-end retail goods and services such as pet spas and hotels, pet therapy and expanding veterinary services such as joint replacement surgeries and delicate eye procedures are becoming more
common.

Baby boomers (whose children have grown up) and young professional couples (who delay having children in favor of careers), are fuelling much of the growth in spending. They turn to pets to fill the void and often consider their furry companion a best friend or member of the family.

So what does this mean for you?

Maybe not much, unless you also consider the continuing growth of and interest in self-employment and home based business. For many people, corporate downsizing, reduced pension plans or health care coverage, outsourcing and the sheer desire for financial independence are good reasons to consider starting a full or part-time business venture.

It’s this combination – the booming pet industry and the need for supplemental or replacement income – that makes it worth your while to examine the pet industry. After all, if you’re going to start a business, it makes sense to start one with a growing customer base and high demand.

Not that a pet-related business means you have to work directly with pets. Or get a degree in veterinary science. Or pay thousands of dollars in fees to open up a pet store franchise. When you consider that many pet owners have higher-than-average disposable incomes and full time careers too, products or services that go beyond the traditional can be surprisingly profitable.

For example, if you do like to work directly with cats, dogs or small animals, dog grooming and pet sitting continue to be viable businesses. But they’re just the beginning. If you prefer less competition, consider pet photography, or becoming a pet massage therapist, or raising one of the popular new crossbreeds such as Puggles or Labradoodles. A doggie day care might be fun. There are even people who conduct parties for pets, to celebrate birthdays and other events like graduation from obedience school!

But you can start a pet-related business even if you can’t stand dogs or are allergic to cats. Remember, pet owners today spend a lot of money both to pamper their pets and to make owning a pet more convenient.

So you could sew designer clothes for dogs or designer dog carriers. You can fulfill an ongoing need of pet owners by starting a pet food delivery service, or take care of animal waste through a pooper-scooper enterprise. You could write a newsletter focused on the care of tropical fish, or design and sell dog houses.

It’s a purr-fectly great time to start a pet business!

Most of us have a specified limit to the amount of traffic our web servers will handle for us. That limit seems very generous until you start looking at image downloads and the bandwidth required. A few dozen users downloading an image that’s one thing. But what if you have an image that dozens of other websites like?

Worst-case scenario: suppose you run a site that gets hold of a picture taken by an Iraqi soldier of an incident that gains a lot of media attention. And suppose you have the exclusive rights to that image. You want to sell it, of course, not give it away, so you don’t post it as a freebie. You may have a downloadable version that others can take away to post on their own website, generally with a link to your site. But your original image is reserved for your use only.

Here’s the problem. Webmasters, often amateurs not really understanding why what they are doing is harmful, want to deliver the best possible image to their own readers. So instead of downloading your free file or linking to your site, they embed a link in their own page that downloads your picture, and only your picture, as part of their own website. This is easy to do; all you have to do is use the image link straight out to the other website.

With that excellent and lucrative image referenced above, you may have blogs on both sides indexing you; you may even have news sites or image sites indexing you. How much bandwidth can your site take before it exceeds your monthly limit?? Chances are, even a medium-case scenario is going to turn your site into a DNS instead, and you will lose viewers and site ranking while you are unavailable. Not worth posting that great picture anymore, is it?

But you do have another option: the .htaccess file. This works primarily in Apache servers; if you’re not certain what you’ve got, call and ask. Because not all systems will allow them, and some can even be damaged by improper .htaccessing, you should contact your server administrator before you upload one, anyway.

What Is .htaccess?

.htaccess is a type of file that has, for years, been used to restrict access to protected web pages or areas, such as error pages and password-protected directories. You create it using a text editor such as NotePad or SimpleText, and then save as plain (ASCII) text. Upon saving it, the file extension needs to be changed from .txt to .htaccess and the rest of the name needs to be left off. Your file should be named nothing except for .htaccess. Not file.htaccess. Just .htaccess.

If your text program insists on appending the .txt, you can right-click the file anywhere you normally open it and select Rename to remove the .txt. If your computer system does not show file extensions, look up how to make it show them! Alternately, telnet and ftp programs will also allow you to rename files and remove extensions.

Creating .htaccess Files

Your first step in creating this file should be to open your text editor and save an empty page as .htaccess. Turn off your word wrap function. .htaccess files are intended to be single-line commands, and a word wrap can throw this completely off and make your file unusable, either by breaking lines in the wrong place or by putting in unwanted characters when it’s uploaded.

When you upload an .htaccess file, it should be encoded as ASCII, not binary. CHMOD the file to either 644 or (RW-RR–) so that the server can use it but a browser cannot; readable .htaccess files can compromise your security by allowing hackers to figure out what you have protected and where the authentication files are. (You can also prevent this problem by putting your authentication files above the root directory so that they cannot be accessed via www.)

An .htaccess file affects the directory it’s placed in as well as any subsequent subdirectories; if you have files everywhere you want protected, you can put the .htaccess file in your root directory. If you only want to protect your images, you can put it in your images directory alone. The closest .htaccess file to any given directory, reading up the directory tree, is the one that is applied to that specific directory. Try to use the fewest number of .htaccess files possible; redundancies can cause an infinite loop, which is bad for your site.

Preventing Hot Linking

The most important thing you want to do with an .htaccess file is prevent hot linking of non-HTML objects like images and movies. Hot linking is often referred to as “bandwidth stealing.”

Your .htaccess file will disallow hotlinking; instead of the image your thief is trying to use, they’ll get something else, like a broken image symbol or content you specify (angry men are popular).

Your .htaccess file content should read as follows:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://(www\.)?mydomain.com/.*$ [NC]
RewriteRule \.(gif|jpg)$ – [F]

The first two lines you don’t have to modify in any way. However, the third line’s http://mydomain.com needs to be modified to reflect your URL. The fourth line in the example is set up to deny use of GIFs and JPEGs; you can add, using a pipe (|) separator, any other file type you wish.

If your server is set up to deliver alternate content (call your server administrator and ask), you can add another piece to the fourth line of code in the .htaccess file to do this:

RewriteRule \.(gif|jpg)$ http://www.mydomain.com/angryman.gif [R,L]

This delivers an angry-man image you have in your directory; just as above, make certain you change that domain name to the proper one.

Not too long ago, kids seldom complained playing house with some old bed sheets or garments lying around the house which would provide them with endless hours of fun. Not the children of today. They are now more demanding and will give their parents a hard time if they dont get them something more realistic, high-tech and colorful. Worried parents, who cant figure out what to buy for their kids, can find a very helpful remedy in play tents.

There is a wide variety of play tents available on the market so selection should be based on size (number of children the tent can accommodate), outdoor or indoor purpose, material, design and features such as water-resistant floor, mosquito mesh etc.

Pacific Play Tents: Pacific Play Tents is one of the largest play tent manufacturers. Their most popular products include Me too and Find me play tents. The two models are made from flame retardant 70 Denier nylon and have shock-corded poles for easy assembly. The Me too play tent has polyethylene flooring, a T” style door with Nylon ties. The Find me play tent, on the other hand, has a Zipper and Velcro on the front door, and two windows that can be connected to Play Tunnels. Both the play tents cost around $25 to $30. Pacific Play Tents also have other popular products for kids such as teepee playhouses, castle playhouses, and bed tents etc.

Lucy and Michael Play Tents: Two moms decided to come up with intricately-designed, colorful play tents made from fun fabrics and sturdy pine supports, and became one of the biggest play tent manufacturers. They call their products heirloom-quality toys which do not come very cheap. A single product may cost you $300 to $350, so Lucy and Michaels play tents might not be the best option if youre planning to buy one on a low budget.

Playhut Play Tents: SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom Hideaway is a lightweight, portable tent covered with cartoon character graphics from the hit TV show, SpongeBob. Features include a flapping door and tunnel port for expandable play, with twist ‘n fold technology (patented by Playhut) for easy folding. Costs around $25 to $30. Playhut also has a SpongeBob Squarepants Play ‘N Fun tent, which is not exactly a play tent but a combination of a slumber hideaway, bean bag toss game, play tent, roll out play mat, cabana with roll-up flap door, and a crawl through tunnel port. Slightly costs higher, around $40.

Dora the Explorer Hideaway Tent: is an indoor/outdoor play tent designed for adventurous little girls built with EZ-Twist technology for ease of setting up. Made from non-woven nylon binding and steel which can be spot cleaned and air dried, it features a tunnel port for crawl-through action. Costs around $20.

Spinmasters Create-A-Room Adventure Zone: A Spiderman designed play tent, inflatable bed and foot pump, combined into one and specifically designed for the superheros fans. Poles are joined by one common elastic which allows for easy assembly and durability. Costs around $30.

What should you look for in a new payroll provider?

  • Service
  • Technology
  • Professionalism
  • Cost
  • Location?

  • Service. Can your new provider handle your unique needs? You can only ask. But dont just take their word. Ask for references in your size and type of business. Smaller providers may only be able to get close but that is OK. Youre concerned about how, not what, service is provided. Ask the references for other reference back to the provided that they did not provide you with. That is where you may get your best information. But in all fairness, remember the old adage You cant make all of the people happy all of the time.

Technology. Is the provider up to date on payroll technology? It is hard for the major payroll providers to upgrade a system for hundreds of thousands of users. They will always be slower to change just because of size and inertia. The very small payroll service providers cant afford the newest technology. You also dont want bleeding edge technology just leading edge. Currently (and this changes all the time) you want to talk about paperless payroll, online payroll, payroll debit cards and employee self-service. There are other topics that will apply to your unique circumstances.

Professionalism. How long as the company been in business? Are they a fly-by-night outfit and will disappear with your tax deposits. Do they have standing in the community? Are they an EFTPS batch filer meaning they have at least 100 clients they file tax deposits for?

Do they have qualified payroll professionals and CPAs on staff to handle problems? You will have dealings with the IRS if nothing else over mistakes that the IRS makes. Without a CPA on staff you will either have to deal with the IRS yourself or pay your regular CPA to handle the problem. If your CPA does not deal with payroll tax problems on a regular basis it will be time consuming for him, and expensive for you. to get up to speed with IRS procedure and policy on an area he doesnt deal with daily.

Cost. How important is cost in the mix of factors in making a decision on which payroll service provider you choose? That question you have to ask yourself. If all other things mentioned above were equal then cost would be the determining factor. If you get the best price and then spend hours every pay period because of obsolete technology, hours fixing their mistakes. Then spend hours placating your employees. Then spend hundreds of dollars with your CPA fixing an IRS error because the new payroll service provider has no CPAs on staff. What have you gained?

Please also review the cost paragraph in chapter one to better understand how payroll companies can mislead you about pricing.

Location. There was a time that location of a payroll company was important, delivery of checks and reports, long distance phone calls, local banking relationships and so on. It does not matter much in this day and age. With email and FedEx it does not matter very much where your payroll service provider is located in relationship to your business. With paperless payroll location is absolutely irrelevant as everything is handled over the Internet and all money is moved through the banking system electronically.

Like any battle, the fight against aging is best fought on several fronts
simultaneously.

Get Up and Get Moving
Exercise is they key to a healthy life if you’re eight or 80. A brisk 30 minute
walk every day can do wonders. Take friends along or get a dog for company. It helps with motivation too. Even those unable to walk can still get some exercise while stationary through repetitive movement exercises. It’s important to do what you can.

Eat Smart
The right kind of foods in the right quantities can do wonders to stave off the
aging process. Plenty of fruits and vegetables, particularly the most colorful ones, which tend to be rich in nutrients, are important. So is keeping your total fat intake down, saturated fats in particular. Read food labels and substitute saturated fat in the diet for complex carbohydrates like starch and fiber.

Busy Body, Busy Mind
Exercise keeps the body working, but a flexible mind is just as important. The
more occupied the mind stays, the more its cells are stretched, the better shape it stays in. Start tackling the daily crossword and read the rest of the newspaper while you’re at it. Take up a hobby, keep busy and give yourself things to look forward to.

Products
It never hurts to have a little help and there are a wide variety of anti-aging
products on the market to help beat the aging process. Aging most obviously
manifests itself in outward appearance and there’s no shortage of products that tackle that problem. Anti-wrinkle creams that hydrate and tighten skin can take years off a face and are a more cost effective and safer alternative to expensive plastic surgery procedures or injections of substances like Botox.

As well as creams and lotions, there are numerous hormone supplements and pharmaceuticals available that make varying claims of slowing or even reversing the aging process. The production of the hormone Dehydroepiandrosterone, or DHEA for short, decline sharply in the elderly and has been popular in the marketplace for almost 10 years thanks to its reported life-extending qualities.

Other natural supplements that have been lauded include fish oil, which helps
combat heart disease, and green tea, which is said to inhibit the growth of
undesirable cells in the body.

Laugh Loud, Live Long
It’s the best medicine, it keeps you young, it’s birthed a thousand clichs, but
there’s no getting a round it – laughter feels good and that can’t be bad. Rent
a comedy, read a book of humorous fiction, share some jokes, get together
with friends and reminisce about the good old days. Whatever gets you
laughing keeps you young at heart, which is a good thing physically and
emotionally. Smiling makes you look younger, too.

A link is essentially a free advertisement on someone else’s site pointing back to yours. So when submitting your link information, write it like a well-thought-out advertisement. Here are some guidelines.

1. Give your link text some length — at least two sentences. If all “link pages” consisted of a short paragraph or two instead of five or six words, these link pages would have “content” and be more valuable. Most webmasters want substance (content) instead of one or two word descriptions. This will also make your listing stand out from the crowd.

2. Pack your link text with your most important keywords. You don’t have to “hype” you site. Just pack your description with your most important information. This is called creating a keyword-rich “context”.

3. Make sure your “anchor text” includes your most important keyword. The search engines considers this important because the text that is linked is an indicator of the theme of the site being pointed to. Each time a site is pointed to with a link that says “golden retrievers” that site’s importance as a “golden retriever” site is reinforced. See the examples at the end of this post.

4. Create more than one version of this link text. A long one should be roughly 200 characters. A short one might be less than 100 characters. Having two or three different versions and lengths of your link text ready to go will make your life a lot easier when it comes to actually placing your links.

5. Mix up your anchor text. If you are doing some serious link work, trying to create hundreds, even thousands of inbound links, don’t use the same anchor text all the time. The Search Engines may interpret repetition of the same link patterns as “unnatural” and manipulative. So use different versions of your anchor text and create different link text “contexts”.

Concentrate on building keyword-rich contexts in which your subject matter is clearly stated and your links can be clearly associated with the subject matter that is most “relevant” to your site. This is the best way to insure they will create an impact.

Trade shows are anything but a walk in the park, even for experienced exhibitors but if you’ve never “experienced” one it can certainly be a daunting task. However, as big as the mountain appears you know that you must include trade shows into your marketing mix.

And finally, after months of angst and planning you finally decided to take the plunge and attend your first consumer trade show as an exhibitor – the day of reckoning has arrived. But wait a minute, which show will give you the biggest bang for your buck because trade shows are not cheap. You could pay as little as $500 – $700 or up to $2,500 even $3,000 for a simple and relatively small 10 x 10 space and so you want to do everything possible to make the experience a successful. If not, it may be your last.

Keep the following tips in mind as you put together your trade show plans you should avoid any major surprises and be well on your way to a successful show.

Realistic Expectations
Don’t go into the trade show expecting to make enough in sales to cover all of your expenses. Most people attending trade shows do so to simply gather information and to learn what’s new in their industry and market – not to go on a shopping spree. Rather, take the approach that this is a way to develop contacts and get some good solid leads. Develop a small marketing kit that contains small samples of your product (if possible), brochures and coupons for those attendees who are willing to provide you with their name and email address or business card.

Renting Versus Buying
In most instances, since this is your first exhibit you’ll want to rent your booth. Your company is new and wants to make an initial big splash with a smaller budget. When first developing a trade show program to supplement or diversify your current marketing mix, it can be difficult to determine the best exhibit and making a large financial commitment on an exhibit under these circumstances can be a daunting task.

Until you’ve been to a few trade shows, renting is normally the best path to follow. Even after you’ve done your research and decided on the best exhibit to fit your needs. This way, you get the opportunity to “test drive” your exhibit.

And if things go well and you start to attend more shows you can look into the economical benefits of purchasing an exhibit. Typically, it takes about four shows of renting a booth to cover the cost of purchasing a new exhibit.

Exhibiting At First Time Trade Shows
First time trade shows have no track record, no guarantees and it may just turn out to be a waste of your time. Many shows don’t start to take off until their second year and since your goal is to build relationships with your target market; in most instances, you’ll be much better off if you stick with shows that have an established track record.

Selling High Cost Products
Like I mentioned earlier, most trade show attendees attend because they want to gather information and to see what’s new and so if you expect to sell dozens of gift baskets or whatever your product is at $50 a piece you will probably go home with full set of inventory. A better option, if you decide to sell anything, is to sell a product that’s low – less than $20 because people are much less hesitant to part with a $10 or $20 bill.

Incentives
Trade Show organizers hate empty booth space. Therefore, a good way to capitalize on this fact is approach the show organizers a few days before the show and ask them of there’s anything available. If there is and in many instances there are, you are in a perfect position to bargain for discounted booth space or perhaps, even get it for free. In addition, don’t forget to ask what comes with the booth. Some organizers with supply a few chairs and a table but many will only supply an empty space. Just remember that everything is negotiable and if you don’t ask you won’t receive but always ask so you don’t run into a big surprise the first day of the show.

Market Yourself As An Expert
Offer to lead a seminar in your field of expertise at the show as a way to showcase your expertise. Simply choose a topic that you’re familiar with and that ties into what you’re promoting at your booth. However, don’t make your presentation a 30 or 45 minute pitch. Offer genuine, good information for the bulk of your presentation and only utilize the last few minutes to pitch your product. Follow this simple and common sense formula people will flock to your booth and the mob that gathers will attract other attendees.

Look Alive
Nobody will stop at your booth if you are just sitting there looking bored. Get off your behind and greet attendees with a smile. This is much more inviting. On the flip side, just standing there with a smile isn’t enough. You need to entice people to stop. Bring energy and enthusiasm to your booth and attendees will want to stop and really take a look at what you’re promoting.

Focus On Just One Product Or Service
If you focus on too many products you will only confuse people and if people are confused, they won’t stop at your booth and they certainly won’t buy or provide you will their contact information.

Display A Banner
Even if they people are not familiar with what you’re promoting, they need to know who you are. Therefore, having a banner that prominently displays who you are will invite people to at least checkout your booth.

Follow these simply rules and remember the primary reason most people attend trade shows and your first (and your 21st) trade show experience will be a positive one.

Buying a new car is a great feeling. The smell of fresh

leather as you The fresh smell of leather as you enter the

car. The paintwork is gleaming and waxy smooth. You might

even catch yourself stealing a glance at the reflection of

your pride and joy as you drive it out your house.

Skip ahead by 12 months and see how your car looks now. Is

it still gleaming new or does the paintwork look tired, dull

and “old”? How can some cars look brand new even though they

are already 3 years old? Why do others look “old” when it

just rolled out the showroom 12 months ago?

The secret is in how you care for your car. It is easy to

keep your car like new if you know how.

1) A Wash A Week Keeps Your Car Clean & Slick

Much as you wish that your car will remain clean by itself,

it just won’t happen. Dust will accumulate even if you just

keep it in your garage. There’s only one thing to do. Wash

your car! It’s very important that you wash your car

especially after you’ve driven in the rain. If you let the

water droplets dry naturally, especially under the hot sun,

there will be tough-to-remove watermark stains on your

paintwork.

The first thing you need to wash your car is a clean and

soft terry cloth. Alternatively, you can use cloth diapers

as well. You can get these easily at the baby’s section in

your local departmental store. They’re cheap and it works.

Of course, if you want to be posh, then get the Ultimate

Wipe cloth from Meguiar’s

([http://www.fdcars.com/newsletter/n2-1.htm]). You’ll need a

good car shampoo next. I personally use Meguiar’s NXT

Generation Car Wash

([http://www.fdcars.com/newsletter/n2-2.htm]). It’s reasonably

priced and a 64oz bottle will last you quite a while.

Start off by hosing down your car to remove any dirt, mud or

grime. Then mix 3 caps-full of shampoo with around 20oz (a

small bucket) of water. Apply the shampoo mixture to your

car using the cloth/diaper. Hose off the shampoo once you’ve

finished shampooing the car. Use your cloth under running

water to wipe off any remaining shampoo residue. It is VERY

important that you wipe your car dry with another clean

terry cloth/diaper. Make sure your entire car is wiped dry.

Next, clean your rims. Brake dust normally accumulates there

and cleaning it will make a huge difference in how your car

looks. It’s pointless to have clean paintwork you’re your

rims are dirty. It’s also advisable to vacuum the inside of

your car every week or every other week. You spend your time

inside the car, so cleaning the interior just makes sense.

2) A Monthly Wax Keeps The Shine To The Max

Waxing your car will keep your paintwork gleaming new. You

can either send it to an auto detailer or do it yourself.

It’s actually not that difficult to wax your car. If you

have an hour or so of spare time, then try waxing your car

yourself.

It’s important that you wash and wipe dry your car before

waxing. NEVER wax your car before washing/drying it! It’s

best to park your car under in a shady area when waxing. It

makes sense to use a good carnauba wax like Meguiar’s NXT

Generation Tech Wax

([http://www.fdcars.com/newsletter/n2-3.htm]). Use the

included sponge and apply the wax in a small circular

motion. Wax your car one section at a time, remembering

which section you started with. Finish applying wax on the

entire car.

Wipe off the excess wax using a soft terry cloth/cloth

diaper. Start with the first panel that you applied the wax

and continue from there. You’ll find the wax residue

accumulating on your cloth. Shake it off periodically and

continue to remove excess wax until you’ve finished all

panels.

Look carefully and check for remaining wax residue. Use your

cloth to clean any remaining residue.

To prepare your cloth for your next wax, wash it with a

liquid softener. It’s fine to use the liquid softener that

you use for your clothes. This guarantees there isn’t any

remaining dirt/grime that may scratch your car during your

next waxing session.

3) Wax Your Tyre Next O’ Sire

For that shiny, wet look, wax your tyres after every

wash/wax. Use Meguiar’s Hot Shine High Gloss Tyre Spray

([http://www.fdcars.com/newsletter/n2-4.htm]). The trigger

spray makes it easy to apply. You literally need less than 5

minutes for this but applying tyre spray/wax makes a big

difference.

4) Condition That Leather To Help It Fight The Weather

Make sure you clean and condition your leather seats at

least once every 2 months if you car comes with leather

seats. Use Meguiar’s Medallion Premium Leather Care

conditioner ([http://www.fdcars.com/newsletter/n2-5.htm]).

Apply the conditioner with a clean cloth/cloth diaper, leave

for 15 minutes and wipe off excess conditioner. Your leather

will look and smell like new if you do this every month.

While you’re at it, clean any vinyl surface of your car

using Meguiar’s Vinyl & Leather Cleaner/Conditioner

([http://www.fdcars.com/newsletter/n2-6.htm]). This

maintains the interior looking like new.

5) Your Car’s Now Shiny So You Can Be Happy

Your car will look like it’s brand new if you follow this

routine. An hour or so every week pays huge dividends.

Friends and family will think you’ve just bought a new car

even though it’s 3 years old. The best thing is when it

comes time to sell your car. A car with gleaming new

paintwork and a clean interior makes a strong impression and

will automatically raise the selling price of your car!

P.S. The writer does not work for Meguiar’s and only

recommends the products as a satisfied customer.
