Some single moms think that they can’t afford college, but that may be because they haven’t tried hard enough to mine all the sources of cash. They probably haven’t spent time on the many student aid websites. If they did, they would certainly have a much more optimistic view. That’s because they can count on at least some federal grant money, since they would be considered financially needy. They are likely to qualify for the federal Pell grant, at a minimum. Furthermore, there is an almost endless array of scholarships given out by governments, universities, professional associations, private foundations, large corporations, and other organizations. Whew! And if they looked on the Internet they would see all the scholarships for single moms, scholarships for nursing students, scholarships for engineering students, to name just a tiny sample of the opportunities out there. Whatever career track single moms want to pursue, there are many scholarships they can apply for.

A report released late in 2010 showed that Singapore Banks issued more than 6 millions credit cards during the year and including supplementary credit cards, the figure rose to more than 7.4million cards in issue. Singapore has strict rules around who can apply for a credit card with a minimum income of $30,000 according to the tax office that means around 906,000 people are eligible for credit cards in Singapore. Astonishingly that works out at over 6 credit cards per per person in Singapore! The report highlights the first time more than 6 million cards have been issued to Singaporeans, but in 2008 the figure was already climbing past 5 million, which means more than a million new cards have been issued in the last two years alone. Consumer confidence seems to have returned to the country, despite world economies dipping, although many financial institutions suggest the rise in cards is mainly due to 0% balance transfers and people are getting smarter about moving their debt around.

Ok not all the time, but some of the time it really sucks. When you have money everyone has their hand out and when you need to borrow some all you get is secured business credit card offers . If I had the money for a secured card I wouldn’t need to get credit in the first place!

People think that when you have a small business you are like a cash machine sitting on top of this huge printing press that turns out $20 all day and night. I wish it was like that, the truth is that we do nothing but juggle money. Take from here to pay there, then the next month we do it the other way round.

Of course when the economy picks up we will be positioned to do very well , if we last that long. I just never thought that money would be the nightmare that it has become when I started a business of my own. I suppose if it was easy everyone would do it.

I don’t want it to be easy, just easier than it is!

In New York there are stringent payroll laws, laws that require a minimum wage of $7.25 an hour, disability coverage for workers even when the employer has a worker who only works thirty days per year, or, even when he has only one employee. There are few exceptions, so affording your help is often most difficult.

More of the laws concerning any payroll of New York include that the workers be paid at least twice a month, with no exceptions. Sales personnel must be paid at least once every month. The taxable wage base is $8,500. Exempt to the rules are employees earning more than $600 a week if they are in professional or executive positions. These rules might drive you to get some outside guidance for managing your payroll.

Online services for payroll New York can serve to guide the employer in managing his payroll effectively. Services like the ones offered online include personal service, reduced health insurance costs, retirement plans, flexible spending account plans and unemployment cost containment.

We all know that the prepaid card market has literally exploded over the past couple of years. As a matter of fact, once you see more and more celebrities launching their own versions of a product, you can be sure that it’s a hot commodity. The latest celebrities to launch their own prepaid cards has been the Kardashians, who are gearing to launch the Kardashian Prepaid Mastercard. But in spite of the fact that it’s mostly consumers snapping them up, prepaid cards also have great business uses.

For instance, they’re great for issuing company funds. With a company-funded prepaid card issued to an employee, all that employee has to do is use the card for all his or her expenses and the company gets an itemized view of where and how the money was spent. No more getting cash, keeping all the receipts, and then reconcile everything and hand over the leftover cash (if any).

With a company-funded debit card, all this is taken care of automatically.

There are still many of us still suffering after we buy from stores and on line services.  Although we are protected by law and each day there are hundreds of consumer protection cases when a customer is treat unfairly.  I think it is about time the Government makes tougher changes in the law to ensure the people who are selling goods and services to customers are following the law and doing things by the book therefore lowering the figures of cases having to be dealt with costing the public thousands.  It is a shame the way the economy is at the moment that there are companies still trying to fool people into buying things whilst either misleading them or making sales under false pretences.  In many cases, we see elderly people so vulnerable, getting what they think are bargains from retailers and then when they have any problems, they are so timid that they wont make a fuss or complain to the store or establishment from which they bought the goods as they ar too frail.
